Hi there! I’m Camilla, a wife and a mum to two children who’s fed up with recipes that either don’t work or that once made my family don’t like. So armed with my school/college knowledge of Home Economics, I thought I would share the recipes that I’ve adapted or been given over the years and that my family love. There’s nothing worse than slaving over a hot stove to have one or more noses turn up at your dish. Hence, I aim to take the guess work out of recipe choosing by featuring only recipes that are well loved and straightforward to make.
My main culinary influence was (and is) my Danish mother who brought me up to love all things Danish but also embraced the likes of The Cordon Bleu Cookery Series, Marguerite Patten and Delia Smith. Dinner parties just seemed to fall seamlessly from her fingers and I would look and learn. The other huge influence in my love of food and nutrition was my school teacher Mrs Stevens, she could bake and cook everything to perfection and she spurred me on to win the school prize for Home Economics!
I’d love to hear any comments you have about the recipes, how you’d change them or tell me if something didn’t work. Hopefully I can help fix the problem! Plus if you have a family favourite recipe that you would like to share then I would love to make it and share it with the world and credit it to you.
If you’d like to be e-mailed when a new recipe is posted then please register and you can pick which categories are of interest to you eg vegetarian.

Hi,
Just recieved and unpaked the lovely hamper of goodies that i won in your recent competition.
The trouble is I now have to decide what to have for tea so I can sample all the products at once. I can’t wait for the kids and hubby to see it they will be so excited. Many, many thanks again. Justine

Aah, so glad you like your prize – I do try to source really cool stuff for my readers. If you don’t want to eat all your lemon curd I really recommend you make the cake because it’s absolutely delicious!

Good luck, I swirled some of the lemon curd in with the mixture at the end of mixing for some lovely pockets of curd:-)
