I don’t know about you but I’m passionate about design and function so when the 2 come together in one product I’m a very happy person. Irish designer and ‘Queen of prints’ Orla Kiely has teamed up with premier kitchen and homeware brand Brabantia and her world famous stem design now adorns their iconic Retro Bin. The sprig and leaf motif is available in cream on charcoal with an orange lid, and charcoal on cream with a yellow lid. The Charcoal Linear and Cream Linear Stem designs are available in 12, 20 and 30 litres.. You open the lid with a light pedal tap and it closes smoothly and silently, so no banging and clattering and as you don’t need your hands to open it it’s also very hygienic! On top of that the Brabantia Retro Bins come with a 10-year guarantee.
I have been getting to know the 30 litre Retro Bin (with yellow lid) for the past few weeks and it has not only brightened up my kitchen but it has saved me an awful lot of time. I used to make numerous trips to the garage with my empty plastic bottles and cardboard where I had a bag and now I have a cool stylish bin in the kitchen with ample capacity so I’m not having to make as many trips to the outdoor bin either. Of course you can use your bin for any kind of refuse you like and Brabantia make bin liners to fit all their bins.
The Brabantia Retro Bin retails at: 12 Litre – £95, 20 Litre – £122 and 30 Litre – £132 and Brabantia are kindly offering you the chance to win one of these bins.

Gorgeous bins! I’d like to win the 30L as it would mean having to make fewer trips to the big outside bin!
Hazel Rea
30 ltr bin because it would be brilliant for keeping the recycling tidy.

The Brabantia 30 litre size in the colour Charcoal on Cream with a Yellow Lid. This size would be perfect for my non recyclable rubbish as only have bi-weekly collections.

20l Would be amazing please
Sam McKean
I would love a 12L bin to jazz up my new bathroom
Susan Elai Carter
I adore the design and would love the 30 or 20l size for my kitchen as the recycling parafenalia drives me nuts. My kitchen is an extension at the back but without a door so it’s a traipse with all sorts through two rooms to the front…I usually drop stuff on the way.

The 30L, ideal especially during the winter months as I have to put my coat and shoes on to go down to the bottom of the garden to empty the bin 🙂
