I don’t know about you but I’m passionate about design and function so when the 2 come together in one product I’m a very happy person. Irish designer and ‘Queen of prints’ Orla Kiely has teamed up with premier kitchen and homeware brand Brabantia and her world famous stem design now adorns their iconic Retro Bin. The sprig and leaf motif is available in cream on charcoal with an orange lid, and charcoal on cream with a yellow lid. The Charcoal Linear and Cream Linear Stem designs are available in 12, 20 and 30 litres.. You open the lid with a light pedal tap and it closes smoothly and silently, so no banging and clattering and as you don’t need your hands to open it it’s also very hygienic! On top of that the Brabantia Retro Bins come with a 10-year guarantee.
I have been getting to know the 30 litre Retro Bin (with yellow lid) for the past few weeks and it has not only brightened up my kitchen but it has saved me an awful lot of time. I used to make numerous trips to the garage with my empty plastic bottles and cardboard where I had a bag and now I have a cool stylish bin in the kitchen with ample capacity so I’m not having to make as many trips to the outdoor bin either. Of course you can use your bin for any kind of refuse you like and Brabantia make bin liners to fit all their bins.
The Brabantia Retro Bin retails at: 12 Litre – £95, 20 Litre – £122 and 30 Litre – £132 and Brabantia are kindly offering you the chance to win one of these bins.

I love Orla Kiely designs… if they had retro blue or red version I would definitely get one of those for my kitchen! 🙂

Bigger is definitely better where bins are concerned!
Anne Wallwin
it would have to be the 30l bin! with 2 small kids we get through a lot of ruubish and nappies etc.

The 30L as it is the perfect size for my kitchen
Laura Chapman
Definitely the 30 Litre bin – we get through to much rubbish because of having four adults in our household who all love cooking!
Julie Carwardine
I would LOVE the 30L as I currently have one but its old and rusty now (bit like me). There are 3 adults here (my partner and my daughter) and we do get through some food. Especially as both myself and my daughter love to cook! So other than the food bin, the waste bin is in constant use. Also I adore Orla Kiely and it would give me some inspiration for the forthcoming kitchen decorating! 🙂 x

Definately the 30 litre one. We generate a lot of rubbish!

I’d love a 30L bin for the family
ELLEN DARLINGTON
The 30 Litre would be ideal for my large family ….
Lea Mavin
I would love the 20 l bin. Large enough to hold all our rubbish but not so large that the bin bag doesn’t changed for days (as this is an unpopular job with members of my household)
