This looks so delicious. I love the idea of using a melon baller to remove the apple core. Perfect recipe for our 2 apple trees.

In reply to Paul Wilson. I don't see why not Paul, they might be a bit wetter than blueberries but you can always bake the tatin for a bit longer if necessary. I tried this recipe with just gooseberries the other day and it was totally soggy as they are full of water so I just tipped it back into the base and cooked it for longer and it was fine. But as you mainly have apples here it might not make any difference at all!
