In reply to Barefoot. Hi, I don't know what size your tins are but if they're the oblong size tin like you get sardines in then that would serve once person. It should have the number of grams on the side.

In reply to Nadia. My mum always used to use tinned mussels (and I have too) so I'm sure jarred ones would be fine too, maybe just pat them dry with kitchen paper as they'd be wetter I presume:-)

If it’s just for yourself you can buy them in tins or you can get them in Tesco in pre-packed packs on the fresh fish aisle which is enough for 2:-) They did stop doing them for a few months which really upset me – it’s my occassional treat:-)

Oh this looks so good. I do adore mussels but only me and one of the kids eats them. Think I might make this for lunch next weekend and the others can have beans on toast! 😉
