I don’t eat much lamb but it’s nice once in a while! Yes brisket sounds good too:-)

Thanks Louisa, I think owning a slow cooker is like riding a bike, you suddenly just get the hang of it and away you go – did take me a couple of years to get into it properly though!

I’m allergic to wine so I think it would change once cooked. The white wine worked really well as it was so light but I’m sure you could use red wine if you wanted to but it would be heavier in flavour.

I wonder if I could use red wine? White wine always gives me a bad stomach? Though if it is used as a cooking ingredient then it may not hurt my stomach? Mmmmm – does sound lovely and I am tempted!

I made this recipe yesterday. (The lamb was on offer at Sainsbury’s). My lamb didn’t pull apart quite like yours. I should have left it cooking for another hour or two but the kids were hungry! Served it with baked potatoes. Thanks for this delicious, easy recipe.

They usually come in 2 sizes and mine is the smaller size suitable for a family of 4.

I’ve never used a slow cooker before, but I’m tempted to get one now! How big is your cooker/crockpot?
