love these types of recipes – not too much meat. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a veggie but sometimes like to have meals with less meat than usual. This seems ideal for our palate.

I think sometimes the best tasting dishes are ones where we deviate from the norm and do just as you’ve done. A perfect solution to your dilemma. I would pick the baked beans over chickpeas too. Thanks for linking to my very veggie black bean chilli recipe. I appreciate it. 🙂

You can’t taste the turkey in this chilli and the texture, well how would you compare your roast turkey to your roast beef – it’s the same difference! Try it I’m sure you’ll love it:-)

I am getting quite the reputation in my street. I have used baked beans in chilli myself as the kids find them a lot less scary than kidney beans (can’t wait until they are old enough to try new things!). This looks filling and delicious and a good freezer standby meal.

It helps with catering for my veggie daughter and works out cheaper than tinned beans. I’ve not cooked much with turkey mince as it’s hard to come by where I live – even if I knocked on all my neighbour’s doors! Fab recipe (and back story). PS My two teens love hot and spicy.
