CONGRATULATIONS TO WILLIAM & KATE ON THE BIRTH OF THEIR SON – 22 JULY 2013
To celebrate the birth of George Alexander Louis I thought that the occasion called for the quintessentially British tea and biscuits (and maybe some fudge)! So who better to provide this prize than Whittard of Chelsea who started out in 1886 from a single shop in Fleet Street. Their founder Walter Whittard’s philosophy was to always “buy the best” sourcing the finest quality teas and coffees from around the world and blending them to customer’s specifications. Today they sell 130 varieties of tea and still blend their own teas and infusions. They are one of the few places you can buy freshly roasted coffee beans ground to your own taste, they have 18 varieties of hot chocolate and will sell you all the china and glassware you need to serve you beverages.
Whittard have branches in the UK and internationally as well as an online store. I was like a bee to a honey pot when I saw their Gift Section because (as you can probably tell from my blog’s banner) I’m just a tad patriotic! It’s here you can find the prizes for this giveaway which are:
Happy and Glorious Mug
English Breakfast Tea 50 Tin
Afternoon Blend 50 Tin
Earl Grey 50 Tin
English Shortbread Biscuits 150g
Royal Tea Party Fudge 200g
As I’m writing this post I am drinking the Afternoon Tea which is such a delight , with a depth of flavour you don’t get from run of the mill teas.. Mr Whittard created this house tea in the 1940’s from fine black and jasmine green tea and combined these with the distinctive flavour of bergamot. This prize package is therefore an absolute treat for any patriotic tea lover. To enter the giveaway just tell me what your favourite tea is in the rafflecopter below.
