Hot Dogs with Krautslaw

A tasty German Hot Dog with a tangy krautslaw for a healthy twist!

Ingredients

  • Warburtons bread!
  • 4 Warburtons Sub Rolls
  • 4 German frankfurters
  • Drizzle of oil for frying
  • 1 Cup Sauerkraut drained
  • ½ Medium carrot grated
  • ½ Dessert apple grated
  • Mayonnaise enough to coat
  • Sliced pickled gherkins
  • German mustard
  • Optional:
  • Crispy onions
  • Ketchup

Instructions

  1. Mix the drained sauerkraut with the grated carrot, apple and enough mayonnaise to coat. Set aside in the fridge.
  2. Fry the frankfurters in the oil in a griddle pan according to their instructions.
  3. Side slice the sub rolls and fill with the krautslaw, sliced gherkin and frankfurters.
  4. Finish off with a squirt of German mustard plus ketchup and crispy onions if you wish.
