Check the gammon is cooked by inserting a skewer into it, (it should glide ior test by pulling some meat away with a fork.
My 1 kg joint took exactly 4 hrs on high to cook perfectly. It was the first time I’d used a 30% lower salt gammon and I’d thoroughly recommend this if you can find one. To serve with pineapple, fry pineapple rings (preferably fresh) in a little oil in a griddle pan for 2 minutes each side.
