Minced Beef and Onions
Minced Beef and Onions is traditional British comfort food, simple and delicious!
- 500 g Minced Beef/Steak
- 1 Large onion chopped
- 1 tbsp Plain flour
- 1 tbsp Light olive oil
- 300 ml / ½ pt Beef stock
- 3 dashes Worcestershire Sauce
- Salt and Pepper
Sweat the onions on a low heat for 10 minutes in a deep non-stick pan with a lid, stirring occasionally.
Next add the minced beef and fry until browned.
Sprinkle on the flour and cook for a minute stirring continuously.
Add the stock, Worcestershire Sauce and seasoning and bring to the boil stirring until thickened.
Simmer for ten minutes on a low heat.
Serve with jacket potatoes or mash and vegetables.
