Win The a2 Milk Company™ Hamper and £50 Shopping Voucher (closed)

Updated: 7th May 2024 · Published: 15th August 2014

Win a2 milk hamper + £50 shopping voucher

The lovely people at The a2 Milk Company™ have offered readers of Fab Food 4 All the opportunity to win an a2 hamper of goodies including a £50 shopping voucher. The hamper consists of:
5 x a2 Milk Vouchers
1 x Ben de Lisi Milk Jug
2 x a2 Mugs
2 x a2 Stress Cows
1 x £50 Tesco Voucher

You may have seen a2 milk in the supermarket and wondered what it was all about! Well for 20% of us, milk doesn’t agree with our system, triggering unpleasant digestive symptoms. Therefore many people give up milk assuming they are lactose intolerant although only 5% are medically diagnosed. There are different types of protein found in milk including A1 and A2 and it’s the A1 protein that breaks down more slowly in the body and can trigger symptoms.

Win a2 milk hamper + £50 shopping voucher
a2 milk marshall at Blaze Farm

The good news is that The a2 Milk Company™ has traced existing herds in Shropshire, Cheshire and North Wales whose cows only produce milk with the A2 and not the A1 protein! So a2 milk is completely natural and tastes the same as regular milk containing both proteins.

The a2 Milk Company™ suggest that you try their milk for 2 weeks to see if you notice any change to your digestive health. I think it is a shame that so many people seem to be missing out on the nutritional benefits of milk when a2 milk could be the answer! I am definitely going to be trying out the 2 week challenge on my son as I have my suspicions that he may have some kind of milk intolerance!

Win a2 milk hamper + £50 shopping voucher

You can find a2 milk in Tesco, Waitrose, Ocado & Morrisons and it usually retails for £1.99 for 2 litres. For your nearest stockist check out the a2 milk store finder!

If you’re looking for a2 milk recipe inspiration why don’t you check our their recipe page where you’ll find my Black Forest Ice!

I’m a fish monger so I tend to buy a lot of fish, a nice piece of smokes haddock or cod poached in some milk with some fresh parsley from my herb garden and a touch of garlic with some fresh minted new potatoes. Use the remaining milk to masks a nice cheese sauce four your potatoes. Its gorgeous 🙂

gotta be baked rice custard – reminds me of when we were kids growing up in New Zealand and not much money around. Mum had a few hens & the milkman came everyday to a stand just across the road from our house. Some mornings I had to go across the road at 7 am in the -15 degrees frost to get the milk and had to break the ice on the top of it (it was in a billy can) just to put it on our porridge. Memories are wonderful.
