We all like like to save money and a good place to start is by cutting down on our food waste. So how can we achieve this I hear you cry. Well storing you produce in the new Oxo Good Grips GreenSaver Produce Keepers is a great way to prolong the life of your fruits and vegetables and when you find yourself left with some odds and ends of vegetables a quick stir fry or veggie omelette in one of the new Oxo Non-stick Pro Range Frypans is just the ticket. So to get you on your way to reducing your food waste Oxo are giving away the following to one lucky reader:
1 x Greensaver Produce Keeper 4L rrp £18
1 x GreenSaver Produce Keeper 1.5L rrp £14
1 x GreenSaver Crisper Insert rrp £8
1 x 24cm Non-Stick 24cm Frypan rrp £40

So how does the Oxo Good Grips GreenSaver Produce Keeper work? As produce ages it gives off ethylene gas and coupled together with poor air circulation and humidity you have a recipe for rotting. So in order to slow down this process the GreenSaver box enables air flow with it’s cage in a box design thus preventing humidity and has an all natural non-toxic (replaceable) activated carbon filter which absorbs ethylene gas. Filters last for 90 days and there’s a handy dial with months under the lid to help you remember when to change it. There’s also a handy guide to which vegetables need the sliding air vent to be opened of closed to suit their desired humidity levels. The GreenSaver Crisper Insert can just be adhered to the inside of your salad draw. I can’t wait to get all these GreenSaver products into action in order to cut down on my food waste! My biggest gripe is with pears, they seem to go from rock hard to rotten in the blink of an eye!
I’m very excited that Oxo now does cooking utensils! This 24cm non-stick frypan from the Non-stick Pro Cookware range has 3 layers of German-engineered, PFOA-free non-stick coating which provides years of effortless food release using less oil, the unique Magneto induction base guarantees superior heat transfer on all hob types, is oven safe to 200C, has unique rolled edges for drip-free pouring and what I like especially is the comfy grip handle.
