Win a Selection of Quality Italian Produce from Peccando worth £57 – Closed

Updated: 19th April 2025 · Published: 9th January 2014

Italian, artisan produce, ingredients, food, olive oil, quality

I have a brilliant giveaway for you from Peccando who specialise in supplying quality Italian food to your door. Whether you are wanting to re-create memories of a favourite holiday or just love going on culinary journeys in your kitchen, Peccando supply authentic speciality products that are hard to find outside Italy. Their suppliers are small artisan family businesses with centuries of tradition.  Each product on their well organised website has information about not only the product but the supplier and the region that it’s from. Peccando means sinning apparently “because the Italian owners think that their food is so delicious that eating it would be giving way to temptation – and that of course is a sin”.

I was sent the following products which arrived, on time, well packed and in perfect order:

Rigatoni

Pasta Herbs

Dried Porcini Mushrooms

Truffle Honey

Extra Virgin Olive Oil Pot

Spelt Fettuccine (Fettuccine di Farro)

Bolognese Sauce

Grilled Artichokes

Tarelli with Olive Oil

Baci Tube

Italian, artisan produce, ingredients, food, olive oil, quality
Taralli with Olive Oil and Galantino’s Extra Virgin Olive Oil

We have enjoyed sampling a few of the products so far. I relished having a cook’s night off when I simply heated through the Bolognese Sauce which is made with pork and ham and served it with the Rigatoni. It was completely different to any jar of sauce we’d had before and had such a fresh and authentic flavour – a definite winner. The Rigatoni was also a joy to eat. We also tried the Tarelli which were like savoury cookies which we chose to dip in the Galantino Extra Virgin Olive Oil which had a fresh full bodied peppery flavour. We rounded off our meal with some Baci chocolates which I have seen for years and always wondered what they were like. Well they are dark chocolate pralines with chopped hazelnuts and a whole covered hazelnut on top – very nice!

My husband is a huge fan of grilled artichokes so he is looking forward to trying those and I am very curious as to how the Spelt Fettuccine tastes as well as the Truffle Honey which is for eating with cheese.
