Sometimes a new kitchen gadget comes into your life and it’s a complete game changer. One such gadget for me has been the SuperFast Thermapen 4 Digital Thermometer! It has allowed me to make recipes I had never been able to make successfully before eg fudge and also given me complete peace of mind when it comes to food safety. How often have you overcooked a piece of meat just to be sure it was cooked through and ended up with it being tough? Having a SuperFast Thermapen 4 means you know exactly when to stop cooking so you can avoid tough overcooked meat and fish or worse still, raw and undercooked!
I love that there are no buttons to press as all you do is unfold the metal probe (to the angle of your choice) and you’re ready for action; things can get pretty hectic in my kitchen so this is a great time saver!

Some other great key features of the SuperFast Thermapen 4 are:
- It’s British-made.
- An auto-rotating display that can be used in any position and in either hand.
- Auto-intelligent backlit display that senses varying light levels (so handy for those evening BBQs).
- Motion sensing sleep mode which automatically turns itself on when picked up or off when put down.
- Accurate temperature reading in 3 seconds.
- 3000 hour battery life (without backlight).
- Waterproof with an antibacterial agent in the casing to prevent mould growth.
- Comes in 10 fun colours (great for coordinating with your kitchen or finding in your drawer).

Pictured above are recipes that the SuperFast Thermapen has enabled me to make:

I would love to win the SuperFast Thermapen 4 because I always worry when I cook a roast chicken if it’s cooked enough in the middle. I would choose the red colour because it’s lovely & bright which means it will be quick to find in the draw

I’d like to use it to help me cook whole fish accurately. I don’t mind which colour.
