We were recently sent some premium snacks from the new Market Deli range from the makers of Walkers crisps (much to my family’s delight)! The Market Deli snacks are aimed at adults and have been inspired by authentic produce from delicatessens across Europe and the UK. There are 3 different types of snack in the range: Tortilla Chips, Pita Chips and Potato Chips
Tortilla Chips
The first snack we tried was the bag of Roasted Red Chilli with Mediterranean Sundried Tomato Tortilla Chips. These a more delicate construction than many tortillas and a lovely taste which was not overbearing or too “powdery” like some tortillas can be. My whole family enjoyed these and I think they would be lovely with a guacamole dip.
I had expected the Anglesey Sea Salt with Cracked Black Pepper Tortilla Chips to be a bit boring in comparison but I Ioved the fact that you could taste the lovely flavours of the buckwheat, millet seeds and brown rice (which are also in the above variety). So I actually preferred these which did surprise me whereas my husband preferred the first bag! My son finished off this pack on his return from school and also really enjoyed them.
Pita Chips
Oh wow, the Roasted Garlic with Mediterranean Herbs Pita Chips were so incredibly moreish. We loved the harder, more crunchy texture to these as well as the delicious flavour. If we’d had a pot of sour cream and chives it would have made the perfect accompaniment. These Pita Chips didn’t last very long at all as the whole family loved them! The pita chips are also available in Roasted Red Pepper with English Tomato flavour.
Potato Chips
The Wiltshire Cured Ham, Mature Cheddar and Farmhouse Chutney flavoured potato chips had savoury flavour complimented by a sweet note from the chutney. The crisps were of a good quality and crisper than a standard crisp. These weren’t my favourite as by now we had been spoiled for choice but we did all enjoy them!
Finally it was the turn of the Balsamic Vinegar of Modena Potato Chips and not being a fan of salt and vinegar crisps I hadn’t expected to particularly like these. However I was pleasantly surprised and found the flavour very agreeable whereas my husband wasn’t as keen but still had no problem eating his fair share! I don’t think the kids were around when we ate these (sorry kids)! The potato chips are also available in Cornish Mature Cheddar and Flame Grilled Spanish Chorizo with Roasted Onion flavours.
So overall we enjoyed all the Market Deli snacks and each had our own taste preferences but I think the Pita Chips did just nose ahead of the other snacks. The Market Deli range is available nationwide at an rrp of £2.39 in sharing bags and single bags of potato chips are available at 83p so keep an eye out for them this Christmas and let me know what you think when you try them!

I bought some of the chilli and sun dried tomato tortilla chips a while ago when I noticed they were new in the supermarket and I wasn’t that thrilled by them. The pita chips sound good though so I’ll have to look out for them.
Camilla
I hear what you’re saying Jen! Funnily enough I just read someone elses review who hated the pita chips as found them too dry but I loved them for their unusual texture, hard crunch and flavour. We all like different things at the end of the day:-)
Emily
Oooh, Walkers has gone all posh. I like the look of these. Are they suitable for veggies?
Camilla
Yes, apart from the ones that include meat:-)
Dannii @ hungry healthy happy

Can you believe my husband asked if we had any crisps today! Think he thinks they grow on trees now:-)
