Win a KitchenAid 7 Piece Knife Set
I can’t tell you how excited I am to share this giveaway with you! KitchenAid have brought out a premium range of knives, knife blocks and knife sets and have kindly offered my readers the chance to win a 7 piece Knife Set in Candy Apple worth £429.
The set comprises of:
- Kitchen Shears
- Sharpener – Diamond Coated 600 Grit
- 8” Chef Knife
- 8” Scalloped Bread Knife
- 5.5” Serrated Utility Knife
- 3.5” Paring Knife
- Block
The quality of the KitchenAid Knife Set is simply outstanding as you would expect from this famous brand. The storage block is made of cast metal reflecting the iconic KitchenAid design and has a wood interior for optimum tip care. The knives have ice-tempered stainless steel blades which allow them to stay sharper for longer and the ergonomically triple-riveted handles are the perfect weight for easy handling.
I’ve been using the Knife Set for the last week and it has been a total joy. I don’t usually look forward to slicing a tomato but the KitchenAid Paring Knife just glides so effortlessly with zero friction, it’s become my guilty pleasure-) The Chef knife has been a huge help tackling things like swede which in the past my knives have just got stuck in. It’s not a pretty sight seeing me smack a knife with attached swede down onto a chopping mat in order to cut through it. I also tried the Chef Knife out on a butternut squash, which I usually soften in the microwave as again my knives struggle but the KitchenAid knife worked its magic on this too and made a usually difficult job seem easy!

The KitchenAid Chef Knife makes light work of chopping!
I have really enjoyed using all the knives and as they didn’t need sharpening I tried out the Diamond Coated Sharpener on one of my old knives which worked really well. I haven’t tried out the Shears yet but can see that they are very sturdy and sharp so would have no problem cutting through a poultry carcass etc. I do believe that having decent sharp knives not only allows you to prepare food more quickly but that they are safer too as a blunt knife is more likely to slip and possibly cut you!
