Fiskars Cuts+More Multi-tool Scissors & Colours Kitchen Scissors Review & Giveaway – Closed

Updated: 10th May 2024 · Published: 21st August 2013

Fiskars CompetitionAs someone who can never have enough scissors I was very keen to review the Fiskars Cuts+More Scissors and the Fiskars Colours Kitchen Scissors.

I’ll let Fiskars tell you the technical stuff first!

“The Cuts+More Scissors combine multiple tools in one:

High-quality blades – for cutting paper, plastic packaging, twine, fabric and more.
Power notch – to cut light rope.
Wire cutter – for cutting wire without damaging the blades.
Twine cutter – to cut twine cleanly and quickly.
Pointed awl tip – for piercing small holes in cardboard, leather, and more.
Bottle opener – can be used with the cover in place.
Titanium-coated, take-apart knife – for cutting large and awkward objects.
Cover – includes an integrated ceramic scissor sharpener and tape cutter for opening boxes.
Dishwasher safe – for easy cleaning”.

These scissors are great for so many purposes both in and outdoors. I particularly like the parcel tape cutting blade which is part of the cover, it was just a case of stabbing the tape and then running the cutter along the tape, no more blunting scissors to do the same job.. Also, I can’t tell you how many times we lose the bottle opener in the kitchen drawer so to have one on these easy to find scissors is a real bonus. Best of all though I discovered that the bottle opener could also be used to release the vacuum on an un-opened jar so that it can be opened more easily.

Fiskars Cuts+More Scissors

The scissor sharpener which is also built into the cover is a brilliant idea to keep the blades in tip top condition. I tested out the wire cutter and that worked really well saving you from damaging the scissor’s blades. Then let’s not forget that these are actual scissors too and I just love the classic scissor sound they make as the blades meet, the action is so positive, a real joy to use. The blades even come apart really simply by opening up the scissors fully and unhinging them. Then you can use one of the blades as a knife, a genius idea! I look forward to getting to know my Cuts+More Multi-tool Scissors better as I have only really scratched the surface with the amount of things they can do. I think these scissors would be particularly brilliant for someone just starting up a home but actually, probably all homes should have a pair like this because then you’d never lose your individual gadgets again, they’re all just one-hand tools. These scissors retail at £18.99.

The only thing I would point out is that when placing the cover back on the scissors keep your fingers well away from the open area on the side, I managed to catch my fingers a couple of times (not badly) so I will be keeping them well away from there from now on.

Next, I tried out the Fiskars Colours Kitchen Scissors in Juicy (yellow). These are “for cutting food and opening packages in the kitchen. Serrated blades keep materials in place. Adjustable blade tension.

  • 21 cm
  • 80 g
  • Stainless steel
  • Dishwasher safe”.

Again I love the positivity of the blades and the sound they make as they cut. You can tell Fiskars are the world’s number-one scissor brand and have been making scissors since 1649! Whether you’re cutting up bacon or opening packaging these are the perfect go-to scissors in the kitchen. They come in 4 colours, as well as the Juicy they come in Coconut, Egglant, and Water. These scissors retail at £15.99.

I only have some cheap scissors that aren’t any good as scissors, let alone do other tasks like the Fiskars. I am starting to get into different crafts, and these would be so useful. Plus they look suitable for my wrist, I have found it hard over the years to find scissors that dont aggravate a medial problem, and these look just the job to suit that issue. I can slao imagine not needing to buy any more scissors for a very long time with these.

I probably don’t deserve them because i am a serial scissor abuser and use them for cooking, crafts and gardening and although I keep different scissors for each use they always get mixed up and end up blunt. If I won these I’d try and turn over a new leaf and ‘cut out ‘ the misuse.

Just bought my replacement all purpose scissors & a pair of garden scissors (fiskars of course, nothing else will do) but could do with a pair to leave in my study & also my garage as I’m always having to take me scissors from room to room & that’s when they seem to go astray.

I would love to win these scissors as they look good & the designers have really given a lot of thought as to what people use scissors for & have made them so adaptable. Fingers crossed & good luck everybody!

I’d love to win these so I can secrete them away for my personal use! Every pair of scissors in our house goes walkabout or is blunted by the kids cutting up magazines.

I don’t have any decent kitchen scissors so I tend to just use knifes. Scissors would be a great win for me! Thank you! Love the bright colours too!

I’d love these to replace my current and extremely blunt kitchen scissors which I bought in a stationary shop years ago!So they’re not really kitchen scissors to begin with! 😛

I’d love to win them for the tape cutter, I get a lot of parcels and I keep blunting my kitchen knives opening them. Plus my existing kitchen scissors are crap ;o)

They’re high quality scissors and they won’t fall apart like many of the other ones I’ve had.

My kitchen scissors are so blunt as they are used for literally everything eg cutting flowers, pruning garden shrubs and cardboard/paper so a new pair of scissors for the kitchen would be fantastic
