I would spend more time with my family around the table eating, drinking, talking and less time on my own in the kitchen. Even after there woud be less mess to sort out in the kitchen and I could spend more time (and subsequent energy) playing games, watching TV and continuing the festivities in the lounge and enjoying a walk en masse.
